Delegate Resources

Everything you need, in order. Work down this page.

01

Read this first

Position papers, speeches, resolution writing, and conference preparation, all in one document. If you read nothing else, read this.

Edition: SY 26-27.

02

Learn the basics

Two decks. Start with the intro if you've never been to a conference.

03

Know your format

Rules of procedure govern how a committee runs: who speaks, in what order, how resolutions get written, and how the room votes. Two families are used across the conferences we attend, and preparing for the wrong one will cost you a conference.

Every conference publishes its own rules of procedure with the background guide. That document overrides this page.
